About Me

Who Am I?

A keen advocate for Small Island Developing States (SIDS) and marginalized communities

As a Caribbean national, I am deeply passionate about bringing attention to the unique challenges faced by Small Island Developing States (SIDS). At the same time, my work extends globally, connecting with individuals and regions that are often overlooked. My goal is to blend my passions with my causes, ensuring that diverse perspectives have a seat at the table in international discussions and decision-making.

In recent years, I’ve dedicated myself to sustainability, working closely with organizations, businesses, research units, and entities that address the causes I care about — like climate change and biodiversity, gender equality, just and fair shipping, the ocean economy, and the creation of resilient supply chains.

My passion for sustainable development drives my mission to create policies that uplift small and marginalized communities and ensure that the most marginalized voices are heard. I believe in fostering a more inclusive and equitable world, and I try to incorporate sustainable practices into all aspects of my work.

Globally Connected

With over 25 years of experience working in Europe, Washington D.C., and the Caribbean, I have worked with governments, businesses, lawyers, policymakers, academics, and industry leaders across the developed and developing world.

I count among my professional and personal networks colleagues from the Caribbean, Asia, Latin America, the Pacific, Africa, Europe and North America. This global exposure allows me to help stakeholders from around the world with whom I interact to reach, adapt to international environments, and together, create impact.

I have honed Specialized Expertise

My first love — and what I formed my initial expertise in — is international and regional trade law.

As a lawyer, trade expert, Ph.D. holder, and policy advisor, I have worked at the highest levels — advising judges, international organizations, legal professionals, and governments. My background in litigation, legal drafting, policy development, and research gives me a deep technical foundation while also allowing me to help others navigate complex professional landscapes with confidence.

I am a committed regionalist, having completed my Ph.D. on the Caribbean region’s own Caribbean Court of Justice (CCJ) and its key role in fostering regional integration.

A Rounded Professional

My career has spanned law, policy, academia, coaching, and project leadership, giving me a 360-degree approach to problem-solving.

In my current role as a lead of a Caribbean trade centre, I teach and work with young people not just in the Caribbean but around the world, lead projects with international reach on sustainability and trade with professionals from around the world, and lead technical teams on specialized areas of international trade law and climate.

This 360-degree angle allows me to understand the challenges of career transitions, leadership development, and high-performance work environments, making my coaching relevant to professionals, students, and business persons across industries and career stages.

Responsive & Reliable

I am a trusted and dependable partner, known for delivering high-quality insights, strategic advice, and practical solutions — on time and with a smile.

I value trust, accountability, and results, ensuring that the people with whom I interact receive the best of me and are motivated to be thoughtful, purposeful, yet impactful and action-oriented.
